Getting Here:
Here are some useful links for those of you traveling from other parts of the country.

Airlines

Airlines sometimes offer specials that are only available online, so be sure to check the websites before making phone reservations. Also, most airlines offer special group fares, so if there are enough people travelling from one area, you may get a substantial discount if you can arrange to travel together. The nearest airport is the John Wayne Airport in Irvine (SNA). However, it may be easier and/or cheaper to fly into Los Angeles International or another airport in the LA or San Diego area (there are several).

Online Reservation Engines

  • FlyCheap (online version of "1-800-Fly-Cheap") - www.flycheap.com
  • Priceline - www.priceline.com
  • Travelocity - www.travelocity.com
  • Trip.com - www.trip.com

    • If you're not picky about which airline you use, these can save you some time by offering fares from several different airlines. Priceline.com works a little differently in that you bid on the date, time and ticket price you want and it finds the closest thing available. Most of these sites also offer online car rental reservations.

    Staying Here:
    We have reserved blocks of rooms at the following hotels.

    Doubletree Guest Suites
    Suites are available from Thursday, May 3 through Monday, May 7. Suites must be reserved by April 6. Each suite sleeps up to six, so this is a good option for those of you traveling in groups.

    To reserve your suite, either call the hotel at (949) 661-1100 or call the Doubletree reservation line at (800) 222-TREE (8733). Be sure to mention that you're guests of the MacDonell/Lantinga wedding so you can get the special group rate. Note: Please do not reserve your suites online - to get the group rate you will need to specify that you're a wedding guest and there's no way to do that using their online system.

    Dana Point Harbor Inn
    Rooms are available from Friday, May 4 through Monday, May 7 and must be reserved by April 22. These rooms sleep up to four people and are a bit cheaper than the Doubletree suites, so this may be a better option for those of you traveling alone or in smaller groups.
